Humanitarian Response Programme
Humanitarian Response Programme is centered on emergency and crisis faced by the communities in Northern Uganda. The programme focuses on people affected by conflicts, climate change and deforestation, as well as natural and man-made disasters.
Different interventions under this section serves to empower the affected communities and build their capacity to cope with the disasters that require emergency responses. The Programme support communities and people affected by crisis to receive assistance appropriate to their needs and addresses people’s needs. The strategy is summarized as Care, Capacity Building and Capital. Care means humanitarian relief for PSNs; Capacity Building include the youth training for vocational skills, peace building and conflict resolution, farming and VSLAs, start-up kits, and Capital means access to safe water, Hygiene and Sanitation facilities leading to resilience and improved livelihood.
