The programme works towards supporting improved livelihoods in communities through interventions in food security, economic empowerment, environmental conservation, water, hygiene and sanitation for holistic and sustainable development in northern Uganda.
The intervention is building capacity of the stakeholders and the farmers through trainings, learning visits, provision of inputs, putting place in infrastructures, networking and collaboration to increase agricultural production and productivity. It linking them to service providers and skill trainings to access finance and market which will in turn lead to economic empowerment. It includes strengthening stakeholders through trainings; awareness creation, and mainstreaming of cross cutting issues such as gender and HIV/AIDS ensures that the programme is inclusive and this increases the impacts of the programme on the community.
